ABOUT US
The impact of gender has been identified in research as a factor impinging on the development and growth of women in owned-businesses. Despite the growth in women owned-businesses over the past 20 years they are more likely to be in less profitable sectors and are more likely to experience inequality when trying to access finance. There is a lack of role models for women entrepreneurs and women often have difficulty in being taken seriously. In addition, women are less able than men to gain access to powerful networks (ie. industry specific and general business associations)

The Carry Forward Project seeks to address some of these imbalances and to assist women to gain access to information, knowlege and networks. The structure of the project has been informed by face-to-face interviews with a number of women business owners to meet the needs that they themselves have identified.

The Carry Forward project website is for members only.
