A warm welcome from the course leader Dr. Yanguo Jing, Marion Gaskell and Nigel Medhurst. "The course provides great opportunities to master necessary knowledge and skills in the exciting digital solutions arena. It focuses on not only the technical skills, but also the business and project management skills. The course structure provides students with the flexibility to choose any of the three courses. It provides the opportunity for students to be technically sound, creative and entrepreneurial. The course addresses an area of increasing practical importance in the commercial/industrial world, with its theoretical and methodological roots in several different disciplines." Students in the course can choose from the following different courses: The Internet Applications Development course focuses on the technologies empower the Internet and the developments of Website and Web applications. The IT Consultancy course focuses on professionalism and a quality approach to IT related consultancy in the commercial world. . The E-Learning Technology course focuses on the study, design and development of e-learning materials, e-learning courseware and tools and technologies that enables e-learning software development. The aim of course is to help the students to work effectively freelance or as team members in this ever-expanding digital arena. The MSc will provide students with a foundation of knowledge and skills that will prepare them to work in the field in the context of support, digital application development or associated commercial activities, or to go on to do further research in the Internet and creative technology area. |
